Have you played with inkjet shrink plastic yet? I LOVE it and the art that can be created with these tiny plastic pieces! Because the plastic shrinks down as it is heated, colors intensify. To help you jump into the joy that is shrink plastic, I have crafted some printable sheets where the images have been adjusted for this fact! All you have to do is print this digital download onto a sheet of INKJET shrink plastic (I recommend the opaque white by Grafix) and you are off and running...er...creating. You can run if you want to. Just don't do it with scissors. Personally, I think running is overrated...unless a bear is chasing you. But really, you aren't supposed to run if a bear is chasing you. Rather, you are supposed to fall to the ground and pretend you are dead so the bear will lose interest. However, that didn't work out so well for Leonardo DiCaprio's character in The Revenant...ick.

But I digress...this 8.5" x 11" sheet features a series of corvids, the family of birds that includes crows, ravens, rooks, magpies, and jays. I love all of the blackbirds on this sheet! There is a carrion crow, common crow, raven, rook, and jackdaw. The image of a raven's egg fills the spaces on this sheet. I recommend folding each bird in several layers of parchment paper when baking...the weight of the paper helps keep the legs from curling as much (watch the free tutorial ArtBytes #8: Corralling Corvids on my Freebies page-www.studiorubianoworkshops.com/freebies). You can also flatten the majority of the bird, then heat the beak or the feet with a heat gun to straighten them out. The little white tabs on the tops of their heads are extra shrink plastic I left in place as I cut them out so they can wear little hats or crowns if you so choose! Create little scenes from this sheet alone or mix and match pieces from some of my other shrink plastic collage sheets to create stunning dioramas or cards! You are only limited by your imagination...so I imagine you will come up with LOTS of wonderful combinations! Too much FUN!!

PLEASE NOTE: This sheet is provided in PDF and JPEG format and intended for INKJET SHRINK PLASTIC ONLY! It will NOT work on regular shrink plastic. Although the images are 300 dpi (high res), they will appear light to you when you print them out on your shrink plastic sheet. To reiterate, this allows for the fact that the color will intensify as the plastic shrinks. If you print the sheet out on regular paper to make a collage, you might be a little disappointed in the color quality. And never fear, although the images may appear low res and watermarked here on ETSY, your sheet will have lovely high res images without my name splashed across your page. I'm not that much of an egomaniac...
